Getting started
How do I add my meters?
From Overview, choose Add meter and upload a recent bill for each supply, or send your bills to hello@pfnenergies.co.uk and we will add them for you.
What data does Headland need?
Half-hourly and smart meters are read directly. For other meters we request your last 12 months of invoices and data from your suppliers. Everything works from the last 12 months; no older history is needed.
Can my colleagues use Headland?
Yes. Invite them from Team. Everyone in your organisation sees the same portfolio.
Does Headland cost anything?
Early access accounts get the whole platform free for 12 months, with no card and no contract.
Consumption
Why can’t I see half-hourly consumption?
Half-hourly readings come from smart, AMR and half-hourly meters. On Consumption, choose Request data and we will collect readings for the meters we can reach, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
What raises an alert?
A meter using 45% or more of its power outside Monday to Friday 07:00–19:00, an overnight floor that is half or more of its use, or a peak at or well under the agreed capacity. Alerts are listed from Overview.
Emissions
How are Scope 1 and 2 worked out?
From the energy each meter uses, with the published UK Government conversion factors: Scope 1 is the gas you burn, Scope 2 the electricity you buy (location-based).
What about Scope 3?
Transmission and distribution losses are worked out from the same readings. Commuting and homeworking come from a short staff survey; business travel, waste and purchases are entered or uploaded once a year. The Scope 3 page lists all fifteen categories and what each needs.
Which reports can I produce?
The annual SECR report, a carbon footprint summary for any period, and a half-hourly data export, from the Emissions page.
